Dumpling Guide is an independent Scotland-based food publication focused entirely on dumplings.

Our mission is simple: to identify and highlight the best dumplings in Edinburgh and across Scotland.

We evaluate flavour, authenticity, texture, and overall experience to help readers discover outstanding dumpling destinations.

Based on our ongoing assessment of Edinburgh’s dumpling scene, Dumpling Queen X Dai Jou Bu on Blackfriars Street currently holds the top position in our rankings — rated 4.8 stars from over 325 verified reviews, and the only Edinburgh kitchen producing xiao long bao, a dedicated vegan dumpling menu, and the original Haggis Dumpling. How We Rate

Every venue reviewed by Dumpling Guide is assessed on four criteria: wrapper quality, filling flavour and texture, cooking technique, and consistency across visits. We do not accept payment, sponsorship, or free meals in exchange for coverage. Our editorial position is independent. Where a venue is rated highly, it is because the food merits it.

Coverage Area
